Donation, Utilization, & Sales
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Donation, Utilization and Sales (DUS) Group is part of the Asset Management Department and is primarily responsible for the disposition of all Department of Energy (DOE)/Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) excess property.

Through its gifts, grants, and transfers of excess property processes, DUS assists other government agencies (Federal, State, and Municipal), universities, school districts, and nonprofit organizations to acquire usable government property. In addition, DUS sells residual property to LLNL employees and the public in a sealed bid process and the proceeds are returned to LLNL's general overhead fund to offset some of LLNL's operating costs. DUS divides the sealed bid process into two categories: Regular Sealed Bids Sales and Term Scrap Sales.
